Kia Kaha.
It provides expectant mums and partners (and support people) all the information they need to prepare for the arrival of their first child. It also helps new parents build support networks of people in similar situations to their own.
Classes are run in evenings and on weekends by trained and qualified educators. Attendees are given a wealth of information and resources, backed up by support from their educator and peers. Post-birth, we now offer Babies and Beyond which is 6 hours of FREE postnatal education. Here, parents can get back in touch with their antenatal classmates and develop a support network for them and their babies whilst also learning about information important to new parents such as settling, feeding, brain development, baby massage and much more.
Bumps to Babies is fully funded by MidCentral District Health Board (DHB) and available to parents from all situations and walks of life.
Bumps to Babies is currently only available in the MidCentral region. To find antenatal services in your area, contact your local DHB.
We have provided below online information for anyone who is unable to attend any of our classes. The downloadable information is split into the 3 key areas of our teaching: Pregnancy, Labour and Early Parenting. There is also the option to have a phone appointment with one of our qualified Childbirth Educators who are available Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am - 2pm. Phone 0508 247 8433 or email an enquiry to [email protected]
